Civil Defense of Nova Iguaçu takes place at home empty that collapsed on the banks of the River Botas

The Municipal Secretariat of Civil Defense of Nova Iguaçu held, on the morning of Thursday (17), a technical survey at a property that collapsed at Rua Paz Bandeira 60, in Bandeirantes, in the neighborhood of Comendador Soares, on the banks of the Botas River. No one was injured. Civil Defense technicians are evaluating whether it was left of a residence wall, which has been banned by the city since 2022, it can still fall.

The Departments of Delegate Services and Public Services of Nova Iguaçu will go to the scene to remove the rubble and debris that fell inside the Botas River.

The house was without residents, because the family who lived at the site is living in another house, through the social rent provided by the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance (Semas), a program that helps people in a situation of vulnerability. A property next door suffered structural damage, with residents being welcomed and guided by Semas.
