This Monday (28) begins to join institutions to the 6th edition of the National Residence Exam (ENARE). The deadline continues until May 20when the period for payment of the adhesion fee for private institutions for profit. Participation in the exam does not bring financial cost to public and private non -profit institutions.
The public call for adhesion of institutions was published last Thursday (24) by the Brazilian company of Hospital Services (Ebserh)state -owned to the Ministry of Education (MEC) and responsible for ENARE.
According to EBSERH, in addition to public institutions, private institutions with or nonprofit that offer medical residency program and/or multiprofessional residency program and in a professional health area, recognized by MEC and have authorized vacancies with residence scholarship financing.

Another novelty is that this year, ENARE will also consist of a single mandatory stageof eliminatory and classificatory character – written exam or objective test, which will correspond to 100% of the final grade.
In a statement, EBSERH pointed out that, among the main advantages for participating entities, are the smallest amount of idle vacancies, and the elimination of costs and the bureaucratic load of individual tests. The candidate, according to the state company, with only one registration, may apply for vacancies distributed across the country.
Numbers
In the past edition, ENARE registered 89,071 registrants – 30.4% increase over the previous year, when the event had 68,300 participants. The selection process offered 4,998 medical residency vacancies and 3,886 multiprofessional residency vacancies and in a professional health area, totaling 8,884 opportunities in 163 institutions in the country.
ENAMED
Launched last Wednesday (23), the National Examination of Medical Training Evaluation (ENAMED) will be conducted by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), in collaboration with EBSERH. The results of ENAMED may be used for access to direct access medical residency vacancies at ENARE.

ENAMED is mandatory for all completing medical students and registrations will be free. Others interested in participating will be able to register for ENAMED to use the results within the ENARE for direct access specialties. For this, it is necessary to apply for ENARE and pay an registration fee, except for cases of exemptions that will be provided for in the candidate's notice.
“In addition, candidates who will apply for multiprofessional and professional health residence vacancies, or medical residence vacancies for prerequisite programs, area of expertise and additional year will continue to take the ENARE tests, as in previous editions.”
