Coach Arthur Elias will summon the Brazilian women's soccer team next Tuesday (13) for two friendlies against Japan, which will be part of the team's preparation for the Copa America, the main competition of the year. The names of the players will be revealed from noon (Brasília time), with live broadcast on the CBF TV. The two matches will take place in São Paulo: the first on May 30, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Neo Chemistry Arena, in the East Zone of the Capital; and the second, on June 2, at 20h, in the newly reformed Cicero de Souza Marques Stadium, in the city of Bragança Paulista.
The Japanese team rose to fifth position in the FIFA world ranking after winning the She Believes Cup title in February, with victory in the final against the United States (2-1). The selection (8th) will arrive with high morals in the match: in April, the Brazilian won a historic victory (2-1) against the Americans in the state of California (USA).
Brazil and Japan have already faced each other on 16 occasions. The Asian add up to seven wins against six of the Brazilian. Three clashes ended tied.

The national team finalizes the preparation for the Copa America on June 27, in a friendly against France, current number nine in the world, at Estádio dos Alps, in the city of Grenoble. It will be the first clash between the two teams since the elimination of the French in the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics in August last year. Gabi Portilho scored the only goal of the unpublished victory of hopscotch against the Les Bleus.
The Copa America is scheduled for the period from July 12 to August 2, in Ecuador. Brazil, current champion, fell on key Balong with Colombia -defeated rival in the final in the last edition (2022) -Paraguay, Venezuela and Bolivia.
