Deadline for registration fee exemption ends on Friday

The period to request exemption from the registration fee in the National High School Exam (Enem) 2025 ends next Friday (25).The registration deadline for the test will still be released by the Ministry of Education (MEC).

In a note, the folder said that interested in exemption from the fee should make the request through the participant's page, using the unique login of gov.br.

“Those who do not remember the account password can recover it following the platform's guidelines,” says MEC.

According to the MEC, participants who did not attend the two days of Enem tests by 2024 need to justify the absence if they want to participate in the 2025 edition for free.

The National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), responsible for Enem, provides for the gratuity of the registration fee for people who fall under the following profiles:

  • enrolled in the 3rd year of high school in public school (in 2025);
  • Those who have made all high school in a public school or as a full school scholarship and have income equal to or less than a minimum and a half salary;
  • people in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability because they are of a low -income family, registered with the Single Registry for Social Programs (Cadúnico);
  • Participants of the Step Program.

Documentation

In order not to pay the fee of $ 85, MEC requires the following documents to be submitted, in order to prove that the candidate is unable to pay for the registration in Enem:

  • student identification document and other members that make up the family nucleus;
  • Declaration that proves the holding of all high school in a public school or high school transcript, with signing and stamp of the school. In the case of a scholarship, a declaration of the school should be included that proves the condition of full scholarship in all high school;
  • Proof of income declared for the current month or up to three months previous;
  • proof of payment (pay or paycheck, payment receipt for services provided, payment envelope and/or employer declaration, among others);
  • Original statement, signed by the interested party, for self -employed and workers in informal activities, containing the following information: name, activity that develops, where it executes it, how long it has been exercising and monthly gross income in reais;
  • Extract of income provided by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) or other sources, referring to retirement, sick pay, pension, peculio, reclusion allowance and private pension. In the absence of these documents, present identified bank statement, with the amount of the benefit credit;
  • Receipt of commissions, rents, pro-labors and others;
  • Employment insurance receipt and the Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS);
  • Termination of the last employment contract;
  • Proof of the amount of the alimony (in the absence of this document, present extract or declaration of who grant it, specifying the value);
  • Proof of benefits granted by social programs, such as Bolsa Familia;
  • Original declaration of the person grants financial aid to the interested party, payment of school expenses or other expenses, containing the following information: name, address, telephone, granted value and purpose;
  • proof of residence (water bill, electricity, gas, telephone, property tax, official or bank correspondence);
  • For CadÚnico Beneficiaries: Copy of the valid NIS card containing full name and CPF of the participant's mother.

Timeline

  • Request for exemption from the rate/justification of absence: April 14 to 25;
  • Result of Requests for Exemption from Rate/Justification of Absence: May 12;
  • Resource Period: May 12th to 16th;
  • Resource Result: May 22.

The examination

Enem evaluates students' school performance at the end of basic education. Public and private educational institutions use the test to select students: Results are used as a single or complementary criterion of selection processes, as well as serving as a parameter for access to government aids, such as the Student Financing Fund (FIES).

Individual exam results can also be used in selection processes of Portuguese institutions that have an agreement with Inep. The agreements guarantee facilitated access to the grades of Brazilian students interested in attending higher education in Portugal.
