Exhibition at MIS-RJ goes from the newspaper to AI to tell Chatô's trajectory

Magnata of communications in the 20th century, journalist Assis Chateaubriand has been part of his history told since last Friday (25) by a technology that has not been part of the list of his media empire: Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In the exhibition Chatô and the Associated Diaries – 100 years of passionon display at the Museum of Image and Sound of Rio de Janeiro (MIS-RJ) until September 24, The public is invited to reflect on what remains from the trajectory of Chatô and the very evolution of communication in Brazil. The proposal of the show is to fragment the traditional narrative and allow the visitor to reconstruct the figure of Chateaubriand along the way.

Named Orion Nova, AI is part of this route and interacts with the audience: asks questions, listens to silence and instigates the visitor to know more about the owner of the associated diaries. The installation proposes a reflection on memory, language and future, positioning AI not as a tool, but as a co -author of meaning. Admission is free, and the show is presented by the Ministry of Culture and Petrobras.

According to the organizers, more than a historical retrospective, the show brings the full image and biography of Chatô only at the end of the visitation, in a cycle that reinforces the continuity of history. The exhibition is divided into five thematic stations, each recreating a milestone of communication in Brazil, from the newspaper printed to Chatgpt. Scenography invites the active participation of the visitor, who can play, listen, read and even create content.

According to the curator and artistic director of the exhibition, Marcos Nauer, AI Orion Nova is the link between the past and what comes later, which does not represent the end of the exhibition, but the beginning of a new narrative where memory is alive, active.

“The exhibition celebrates 100 years of the legacy of this brilliant but also very controversial, controversial man. Celebrating this man's legacy is to celebrate the history of our communication,” says the curator.
