Globo Movies on 4/30/2025: afternoon session and special cinema promise emotion and fun
This Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Globo's program promises to entertain the whole family with two unmissable productions, which will be displayed in Afternoon Session and in Special cinema. Prepare the popcorn and check out the highlights!
Afternoon Session – “Dora and the Lost City”
From the afternoon of Wednesday, Globo presents “Dora and the Lost City” (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), an Australian production launched in 2019, directed by James Bobin. The film is an adaptation for the cinema of the famous character Dora, known from the children's series “Dora, The Adventureira”.
In this adventure, Doerinterpreted by Isabela Mercedfaces an even greater challenge than those found in their usual explorations: surviving the secondary school. However, her true destiny calls her to a new mission when her parents mysteriously disappear. Dora then brings together a group of friends and embarks on a journey to unravel a mystery behind a legendary golden city.
With a heavy cast, including Benicio Del Toro, Eugenio Derbez, Jeffrey Wahlberg and Michael Peñathe movie mixes action, adventure and humor just right, winning adults and children with their fun and engaging narrative.
Special Cinema – “My sister and me”
Sooner night, the Special cinema Displays national comedy “My sister and me”directed by Suzana Garcia and starring two of the most beloved actresses of the Brazilian public: Ingrid Guimarães and Tatá Werneck.
The feature, produced in 2021, tells the story of Mirian and Mirellytwo sisters with totally opposite personalities. From an early age, they carry the frustration of not having realized their mother's big dream: to form a successful country double. Instead, they followed different ways and live in constant friction. But after an unexpected event, they are forced to live and perhaps find a common point between their differences.
With a lot of humor, emotion and that touch of Brazilianness, “my sister and me” promises good laughs and moments of tenderness, reinforcing the importance of family ties even in the face of adversity.
With this special programming, Globo bets on stories that mix adventure, emotion and comedy to please different viewers profiles. Whether in the company of fearless Dora or the fun sisters Mirian and Mirelly, Wednesday will be full of great emotions on the small screen!
