The City of São José dos Campos received, on Wednesday (30), a new ecological technology in donation of the company O2 Eco – Environmental Technology. The innovation will be used to improve the process of cleaning the main lake of Park Santos Dumont, in the central region of the city.

Technology, imported from Australia, consists of a paraffin plate with high concentration of trace elements and minerals, which stimulates the proliferation of beneficial bacteria already present in water.

These bacteria consume organic and inorganic materials that pollute the lake, accelerating water depollution.

Three paraffin plates were installed on the main lake of Santos Dumont Park to lighten water and reduce chemicals spending used in cleaning. The initiative optimizes lake treatment services. “The lake is not bad, not polluted, but it is always good to improve,” said Luís Fernando Magalhães, owner of the company.

City Hall continuously seeks projects with eco -technology and sustainable technology to maintain safe, attractive and clean spaces, establishing partnerships with local companies.

Luís Magalhães reports that the company emerged from the São José dos Campos Innovation Law, in 2018. The first test was held in the City Park Lake, with positive results, and the company received a certificate of technical capacity. Since then, TBC (O2 ECO TWC) has been working in the water treatment for several years, covering seven areas of environmental technology.

Magalhães, who grew up in DCTA and attended Santos Dumont Park in childhood, expressed his appreciation for the place. “I have a special affection for the place, and the donation is a way of repaying what the city provided to the company, joining the affective memory,” he said.
